Alveston F.C. is an English association football club based in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire. They were established in 1924. In 1993, they joined the Midland Football Combination Division Three. ==History== Alveston FC is a very special kind of football club with a long and proud history. The original club was known as Alveston United from 1912 to 1924 although the intervention of the First World war cut short it's existence. The club was reformed in 1924 simply becoming known as Alveston FC. During these early years Alveston achieved their first silverware when they were crowned champions of the Stratford and District League in consecutive seasons 1924/25 and 1925/26. Alveston continued to prosper in the local Stratford Alliance Foootball League and moved to the Home Guard Club in 1975, where it continued to play for the next 35 years. In the 1996-97 season the Club joined the Midland Football Combination League where over the next 13 seasons it won numerous honours including, The Jack Mould Trophy, Smedley Crooke Cup (twice), Challenge Cup (played at Villa Park), Coventry Charity Cup (played at the Ricoh Arena), First Division Title and Premier Division Title. The superb team of season 1998-99 completed the League and cup treble with national newspaper "The Sun" reporting the amazing story, comparing the clubs achievements with their Premiership peers Manchester United. Certainly a season to remember and great progress for the football club with the installation of floodlights at their Home Guard Club ground. In 2004 the football club established their hugely successful Junior section, which currently runs 3 teams for the 2014-15 season. Everyone involved with the Junior section of the club has lots of fun with the children developing their skills and ability to work as part of a team. More recently the whole club has had to find alternative pitches to play it's football due to having to move off the Home Guard Club grounds. The first team are currently playing at Bearley Sports & Social Club in the Stratford Alliance, First Division and won the Stratford Hospital Cup in season 2011-12. The U8's & U9's also play at Bearley Sports & Social Club with the U17's playing at Stratford Recreation Ground in the Central Warwickshire League. All our teams are now settled in to their new grounds & we look forward to some exciting football in 2014-15. The journey continues for Alveston FC and the present board would like to sincerely thank everyone previously involved with the club for all their efforts and hard work. The club welcomes new members and are always grateful for helpers, volunteers and especially to our sponsors. Alveston FC offers an alternative vision for football from one that seeks to maximise profits at the expense of the interests of its fans, supporters and the local community, with one that seeks to empower its fans, supporters and the local community. Long may this great football club continue !!! 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Alveston F.C.」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
